To expand its reach in producing low-temperature, heat transfer fluids, CPI Engineering Services, Inc., a subsidiary of The Lubrizol Corporation, announces its CPTherm™ Series.
CPTherm™ is a unique heat transfer fluid developed for low-temperature applications between -70 F to 150 F. CPTherm fluids are aqueous and free of methanol and glycol. As a result they do not have a flash point and are safe to work with.
CPTherm™ F-Series is a low-temperature heat transfer fluid designed for use as a secondary coolant. This product operates in low-temperature applications including ice rinks, blow molding processes, food storage, industrial manufacturing and blast cooling. The F-Series is registered with NSF as an HT-1 fluid for use in applications where incidental contact with food may occur.
CPTherm™ G-Series is designed for use in residential and institutional geothermal systems. The G-Series is an attractive option over glycol because of its improved performance and heat transfer capacity. Also, unlike methanol, which is commonly used in geothermal applications, CPTherm is non-flammable. This product is specifically designed for use in ground source heat pumps and other geothermal systems.
CPTherm™ fluids are available as a concentrate for use at various strengths, depending on the application. They also come pre-diluted and ready to use. For more information on the CPTherm™ series, visit www.cptherm.com.
